Increased Skin Cancer Survival Rate
This study examined the effect of Maharishi Amrit Kalash Ambrosia (MAK-5) on laboratory animals with skin tumors. Rather than measure the effect on specific tumors, this study focused on increased survival rate. Animals with chemically-induced skin papillomas were given the formula as a portion (1.5%) of their diet. The survival rate for the animals who were given MAK-5 was 75%, as compared to 31% in the control group.

Dr. Reddy's Comments:
Although this and the previous study apply only to laboratory animals, they give hope to those who are researching cancer treatments for humans. Conventional cancer treatments have grown increasingly sophisticated, but they produce side effects that can be more life-threatening than the disease itself. Moreover, conventional treatments have not been successful in decreasing mortality from the disease or in improving quality of life. Meanwhile, the chances that someone living in the U.S. will die of cancer continue to grow.
Both Maharishi Amrit Kalash formulas are known to be powerful antioxidants (see chapter seven). It is hypothesized that their ability to scavenge free radicals may be responsible for the important results found in these two studies.
Other published studies on these formulas have shown the following results in humans: reduction of the risk of heart disease; improved general health (including improvements in digestion, elimination, sleep, energy, and resistance to illness); decreased worry, depression, and emotional disturbances; and improvement in age-related parameters. Other studies have shown enhanced immune response and reduction of cancer in laboratory animals.
